Will you save your marriage?

I'm saddened by a best friend story. She found out that her husband is into gambling addiction. She confronts him several times but didn't stop. Their finances are at stake. She's asking for my personal opinion if she'll still save the marriage or talk to her husband and give him a chance to change. What's the best advice that we can give her?

Tell her to talk to her husband first.

That's true! I agree with you and the last thing to do maybe is to convince her husband to seek counseling. Am I correct?

Make sure her money is safe, and then give him that option of stopping. The gambling or the marriage.

I've talked about it with my friend. I'm not updated lately if she tried to give her husband a warning or make a choice. However, a friend of ours told us that it will not help the person either. She insists that the husband needs to seek counseling for his behavior. What's your opinion about it?

If the husband is willing. Maybe, she has no other choice but to seek the help of a mental health expert.

I appreciate all the things you've shared and different point of views about a friend's problem. Those things made me think that a gambling addiction will need to undergo counseling. I need to advise her to try and convince her husband.

He is a strong man to be able to quit. Not all who love their wives will be able to give up their addiction for it is not easy. Most would really need to undergo treatment.
