help needed- i'm heartbroken
 

Hello everyone- update

I have had to register again because I was having difficultly logging on.

I have told the OW's husband. I went to their home and knocked on the door, and she came, she looked absolutely horrified. I asked if her husband was at home. He came to the door and I told him, and handed him my letter. He looked stunned, bewildered, as if he couldn't believe it. The OW had told me that she had told her husband, but I doubt she had as he looked very shocked, I will never forget the expression he had. I'm thinking about him and hope that he will be ok. I told him that I was sorry to tell him and that I had been thinking about him a lot. I said that I was devastated when I found out. I also told him that I had tipped my H out. He just said alright as I handed him my letter.

I was ever so nervous, it took a lot of nerve to do it, but i'm relieved that I have. I hadn't realised how much this was bothering me, I have felt more calm since telling him, and am relieved that he knows.

Well at least he can make decisions to sort things out knowing the truth now,and hopefully she wont be carrying on causing problems in other peoples marriages any more.

I don't know if my H and she are continuing. That is a different issue, the important thing is that the poor man now knows and he can express and assert his thoughts and feelings as I have been able to.

It was troubling me that he was being treated so very badly, and I wanted to do the right thing. I did consider whether to tell him long and hard but I thought that if it was the other way round I would want him to tell me however hard it is to hear. That's why i told him, treat others as you expect to be treated yourself.

You did well hbl. Everything is now in the light. They both needed that shock. Your husband and her I mean. I am hoping that he finished it in his mind before you told her husband when he said he was sorry.

Do you think he is truly repentant or is he just sorry he got caught?
