Declaration Of Marriage ???
Hi,
I got married in Gibraltar, will I be registered in the UK marriage depository, never thought to ask. |
Re: Declaration Of Marriage ???
From my understanding so long as the marriage was properly registered by a registrar in Gibraltar it will be registered in the UK if you are a British National. You can make sure by checking the records of Births, Marriages and Deaths in the UK online.

Re: Declaration Of Marriage ???
Hi Raymond,
Well it seems to be a dilemma on my behalf, as I got married in Gibraltar, divorced in Tenerife (Spain) and just some years ago my x wife passed away, and I'm now considering marrying again.. as such I believe I need to obtain a certificate decree of absolute, now based in the UK will be somewhat difficult to get that certificate. |
Re: Declaration Of Marriage ???
IF you are legally divorced them why do you need a decree absolute?

Re: Declaration Of Marriage ???
In order to marry again.. I need to prove I am divorced, hence the reason for the decree of absolute.

I intended never to marray again, divorce papers were left in Spain, hence the reason for needing an official copy of decree of absolute, and all this was 7 years ago.
