What Do You Do If Partner Does Not Want To Work With You

After the first craziness , I seem to have cooled down. I think on second thought It might be worthwhile to work on my marriage. Despite all the evidence, most circumstantial, H e still denies and does not even want to talk to anybody about it. I do not know wether it is worthwhile going through it alone. Considering counselling for my self, only wonder if it will be beneficial especially if I go it alone.
Any advice

Re: What Do You Do If Partner Does Not Want To Work With You

Well, all I know is that one can only control one's own behaviours, so if you think it will help you in understanding yourself, do it.

Do remember that a partner who wont address issues is usually doing it because they (consiously or otherwise) know that there is something lurking there they don't want to face up to. Additionally, by not opening up and having a conversation they get to stay in control, AND piss you off!

Why not ask the specialists (the counsellors) what they think? I'm no expert.

Mike.

Re: What Do You Do If Partner Does Not Want To Work With You

Thanks Mike,
Actually It now makes sense. He seems to want to keep it to himself and gain control over things. He still wonders how I seem to know so much. I still haven't shown him the extra phone bils I got. Wonder wether I should not save that for an appropriate time.
I have an appointment with a counsellor later today.
Thanks.

Providing you can find a counsellor who is right *for you*, I am sure you will find great benefit in talking with an expert. Insight is always valuable and worthwhile.

Good luck!

David
