Hi guys,
New here, and haven't given my real name on my profile because I am quite scared of being found out!
I had been looking to get a ring next year, but as my girlfriend is Welsh I have managed to procure one of the final 50 rings ever to be made out of pure Welsh gold. I had to act now for fear of missing out!
So, I have sourced the diamonds for the ring... I had sat down with my Jeweller and gone through the design... The gold will be hallmark and the diamond certified... Basically it is going to be the perfect ring!!!
The 'problem' is it will be finished in about two weeks!!!
I hadn't planned on proposing this soon... but I have some ideas which I thought I'd run past the you guys here?
1) The first day we started going out is in October... and I was thinking I could surprise her at work, propose, and whisk her away to a romantic long weekend?
2) I am hoping to move job, and therefore move in with her in about a month and was thinking I could propose to her on our first evening in our new home, with candles, a bottle of bubbly, a personal meal and a romantic huggy film.
3) My original plan was to take her to New York as a Valentines present and propose at the top of the Rockafella center, then take her to a meal, then a Broadway show, then back for a night at the Ritz.
I would LOVE to do the third one, but I am so scared that the ring will burn a hole in my pocket... and I feel she might be expecting it then... but does that matter? Is it the occasion, not the surprise?
Number two is simple, and is relevant to my girlfriends personality... she doesn't want a big public display of affection... but is it memorable enough? and what if moving in takes too long or gets stressful?
The first one is doable... I can get her out of work and can organise the weekend... but if it was in front of her work colleagues she could get embarrassed.
You HAVE to help me!!!
Any advice or questions welcomed!!!
