Marital Agreement

Two widowed people (seniors) wanting to marry. Both have grown children. Kind of agreed to take assets into the marriage and keeping ownership of them (house/investments/). After marriage, if one dies, then should the one remaining not receive anything from the other spouse's will? Or just vacate his/her home and go back to the single life once more as he/she kept their assets?

Does maybe caring for the other for 20 years or so not have any bearing on things? Afraid of using some of the grown children's and grandchildren inheritance!

Re: Marital Agreement

You have a very good point, but everyone has freewill and one cannot force anyone to do anything even if they think it is the right thing to do.
