Engaged or No?

I was just wondering a question.

Recently my boyfriend asked me if I would marry him, and I said yes - but there was no ring involved or anything. So does that mean we're not engaged or we are? I'd like to know if there's an answer.

(And when he asked me the question, it wasn't anything like,"Would you like to marry me?" It was just straight up, "Will you marry me?")

Re: Engaged or No?

If he asked you and you said yes, then you are engaged to be married. A ring is part of western tradition, nice but not entirely necessary.

I don't think the wording matters. He asked and you said yes.

Congratulations!

I agree with raymond, he asked you accepted... If you think you should have a ring then you need to talk to your partner about it. Even an inexpensive ring might solve the problem.

Re: Engaged or No?

It would show his commitment if he bought you a ring.

my suggestion is discuss buying each other rings to cement your love,

see how he reacts,,,,
